The Language Management team under i18n at Meta is looking for an experienced Latin American Spanish language manager to join our team. As the Latin American Language Manager, you will be responsible for the localization quality of for our Meta products and content. This role will ensure that we deliver a great linguistic experience to our Latin American audience, and your background in translation or localization for consumer devices and gaming content will be essential in helping us achieve this goal.

Responsibilities
LATAM Spanish Language Manager Responsibilities:
Reviewing, editing and/or translating high visibility UI content and high priority long‑form content of Meta family of apps and other core experiencesDesigning and supporting LLM quality guidelines and evaluationsAI evaluations, trainings, and other related tasksPerforming localization screenshot testing to identify linguistic and functional issuesWorking closely with product teams and performing hands‑on linguistic testing on web and mobile devicesCollaborating with the Localization Program Management team to support product launches and drive the efforts to ensure end to end linguistic quality during the product launch cyclesDriving product and/or vertical‑specific language quality initiativesCollaborating with the Vendor Management team to select new translation vendors, drive vendor probation, and support their ramp‑upClosely monitoring vendor translation quality through our quality framework, and managing translation vendors' performance when neededDriving or supporting cross‑functional and/or team level quality framework at scaleBuilding and scaling stakeholder education programs for internal cross‑functional partners and external vendors to ensure language quality from end to endMaintaining the localization glossaries, style guides, and TMs (Translation Memory) for owned content & keeping them up‑to‑date and audience appropriateWorking closely with the in‑country stakeholders to deliver market‑appropriate translationPerforming other linguistic tasks as neededTraveling domestically or internationally to other Meta offices and/or business sites as neededMinimum Qualifications
Native Latin American Spanish and business proficiency in English5+ years of experience in English‑to‑Spanish (for Latin America) translation and product UI localizationFamiliarity with the popular and social trends from Latin AmericaBS/BA degreePreferred Qualifications
Cross‑functional experience working with engineers, product teams and regional stakeholdersExperience in AI evaluations, annotations, and other related activitiesExperience in AR, VR, smart home devices, or related technologiesExperience in hardware localization and testingExperience in localization of gaming contentExperience in localization of online and mobile productsExperience in localization program and/or project managementFamiliarity with CAT toolsFamiliarity with digital marketingKnowledge of additional languages other than your native language and EnglishCompensation
$123,000/year to $177,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
