JOB DESCRIPTION

The Manager of Digital Content will draft and design compelling and effective digital content for Navigator Research, a campaign incubated within The Hub Project that conducts a significant volume of quantitative and qualitative research. Navigator’s research informs policy debates and provides communications guidance for audiences including progressive advocates, partner organizations, and elected leaders. This person will craft and deploy social media content, design and support a digital content creator program, strategize and execute on our email program, manage and update our website, and work to expand the distribution and footprint of Navigator's social media platforms.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Manage day-to-day social media content on Twitter, Instagram, and Tik Tok, including writing content and managing the approval process.

  • Develop compelling visual assets - including graphics and videos - to deploy on social media accounts and digital toolkits for amplification.

  • Help develop message guidance for digital content creators using Navigator’s research and data.

  • Work with the full Navigator team to develop and execute successful digital campaigns across multiple platforms, including quickly mobilizing around rapid response moments.

  • Work with the Director of Research and Program Operations to develop and execute longer-term strategies designed to expand the footprint and distribution of Navigator's reach.

  • Work with the Hub’s Partnerships team to establish relationships with digital content contemporaries at partner organizations in order to expand Navigator's distribution and partnerships.

  • Track digital analytics for Navigator’s website and email program, and use that data to make recommendations on how to adjust our strategy.

  • Update websites and landing pages using Word Press.

  • Help direct external vendors and/or consultants to support and execute digital campaigns.

  • Work with content creators.

  • Keep a pulse on the latest digital trends and best practices, and find new ways to integrate them into our campaigns.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

About you

  • You are committed to a just and inclusive economy that delivers opportunity and dignity to all Americans, and are passionate about strengthening American democracy.

  • You have 3+ years managing a social media program from ideation to execution.

  • You have some experience with Mailchimp, including drafting content, executing content, and collaborating on strategy.

  • You've used social media tools like Tweet Deck, Crowd Tangle, and/or Sprout Social.

  • You have experience with content management platforms like Word Press.

  • You know how to analyze social media performance and how to make adjustments based on key metrics.

  • You're an excellent writer who loves experimenting with tone, voice, and personality.

  • You're an active participant who is willing to share your point of view during brainstorming sessions to help guide overall digital strategy.

  • You're passionate about following the latest digital trends about where people are getting their information online.

  • You're creative, up for trying new tactics, flexible, organized, and detail-oriented.

  • You're comfortable working on tight deadlines, have experience working in rapid response or fast-paced environments.
