Both parents work full time, so we need a caregiver who can provide a calm, engaging, and enriching afternoon routine after preschool. We value intentional care that balances play, learning, and flexibility.
Our 3‑year‑old son has recently started preschool, and our childcare needs have evolved. We are looking for a high‑quality, education‑focused nanny to support him during after‑school hours. This role is ideal for someone with a background in early childhood education or child development who enjoys turning afternoons into meaningful, engaging learning experiences through play, structure, and curiosity.
Core Responsibilities- Pick up the child roughly 3:30 pm and safely transport home or to activities.
- Create a calm, engaging after‑school routine until about 7:30 pm.
- Lead developmentally appropriate, play‑based learning activities (language, early literacy, numeracy, creative play, problem‑solving).
- Encourage reading, storytelling, and age‑appropriate educational games.
- Support social‑emotional development through structured play and positive reinforcement.
- Prepare simple snacks or light meals as needed.
- Maintain a tidy, organized environment related to the child’s activities.
- Communicate regularly with parents about progress, interests, and observations.
- Background in early childhood education, preschool teaching, child psychology, or child development (formal training strongly preferred).
- Experience working with preschool‑aged children in a structured learning environment.
- Strong understanding of play‑based learning and child‑led engagement.
- Warm, patient, calm, and confident demeanor.
- Excellent communication skills and reliability.
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Glowing references from recent nanny positions.
