About This RoleThe Category Manager – Electrical is responsible for developing, executing, and managing Data Center equipment initiatives across a variety of electrical products. Your work will directly influence our ability to build and scale data center operations, requiring collaboration with strategic suppliers, finance, accounting, and construction teams.
What You’ll Be Working On- Category Strategy & Negotiation: Develop sourcing strategies and conduct negotiations for complex programs such as generators, switch gear, transformers, power distribution units, static transfer switches, UPS/batteries, and other electrical equipment. Perform spend analysis, create metrics, and recommend improvements.
- Supplier & Project Management: Manage equipment schedules, budgets, and costs for new data center construction. Onboard and select suppliers via cost analysis tied to RFPs, and monitor compliance with agreements.
- Process & System Optimization: Identify and implement solutions that streamline indirect sourcing and procurement work practices, including implementation strategies, responsibilities, communication plans, and timelines.
- Contract Management: Negotiate, review, and execute contractual arrangements in alignment with company policy and business objectives.
- Stakeholder & Relationship Management: Build relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to support data center growth.
- Tactical Execution: Ensure day‑to‑day purchasing activities meet routine business needs.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years in a similar industry or fast‑paced environment.
- Capital Budget Management: Experience managing Cap Ex budgets of $800+ million.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree.
- Adaptability: Proven success in dynamic, fast‑paced settings.
- Multitasking: Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Travel: Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.

Base salary range: $107,000 – $130,000 plus bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation is determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and market data.
