As part of our continued growth, Bernini is seeking a qualified and motivated Accountant (ANZSCO Code: 221111) to join our professional team.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and lodge BAS, GST, IAS, and Income Tax Returns in compliance with Australian taxation laws
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledgers using MYOB Advanced and accounting practice management systems
- Manage accounts payable and receivable (AP/AR), including reconciliations and client queries
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, journals, and compliance reports
- Assist with tax planning, compliance reviews, and advisory support for business clients
- Liaise with clients, the ATO, and external stakeholders as required
- Support internal controls, audit processes, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of relevant accounting experience within an Australian accounting or commercial services environment
- Strong working knowledge of Australian tax legislation and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in MYOB Advanced and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and client‑communication skills
- CPA or CA Associate membership, or actively working towards qualification, is highly desirable
- Must possess Australian work rights to be eligible for this position
Salary Range:
AUD $80,000 per annum before superannuation, based on qualifications and experience.
