Senior Accountant

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Review and interpret financial data to ensure accuracy, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger by maintaining multi-dimensional reporting structures, including departments, projects, and cost centers.
• Oversee the monthly close process, ensuring all financial statements are prepared accurately and on time, supported by detailed schedules and reconciliations.
• Support external and internal audits by preparing necessary documentation, reconciling discrepancies, and addressing auditor inquiries.
• Conduct reconciliations of tax-related accounts and prepare documentation for both financial and tax audits, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with department leaders to develop and refine budgets, forecast future financial performance, and monitor variances to stay aligned with financial goals.
• Lead or assist with special accounting projects, including system implementations, process improvements, and ad hoc financial analysis to support business initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications of the Senior Accountant:

• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Familiar with accounting software
• Intermediate level of analytical ability to solve complex problems
• Solid understanding of GAAP and finance concepts is a plus
