Accountant – Utility-Scale Projects Team (Puget Sound Energy)
This role supports Puget Sound Energy’s new team focused on acquiring and developing utility‑scale projects. The accountant will relieve workload from an overextended analyst by managing accounting tasks, budget submissions, and consultant payments. This position is critical for ensuring accurate financial tracking and timely processing within a growing team.
Responsibilities- Tracking, validating, and reconciling all invoices and ensuring they are captured in Ariba, paid, and then flow through the actuals.
- Ensuring WSB orders are correctly set up, coordinating with property accounting on journaling all prior costs correctly.
- Updating budgets and forecasts and responding to monthly reporting in BPC and variance explanation requests to FP&A.
- Reconciling actual spend with EMC approvals, contracted activities and amounts, forecasts and updating forecasts for future periods.
- Booking accruals for activities performed but not yet invoiced and/or paid.
- Accounting, data entry, reconciliation, project accounting.
- Experience with SAP Ariba (preferred).
- Familiarity with non‑PO invoice processing.
- Exposure to project‑based accounting or hybrid analyst/accountant roles.
- Knowledge of utility or energy industry beneficial but not required.

Contract Type & LocationContract to Hire position based out of Bellevue, WA (hybrid).
Pay Range$45.00 – $55.00 per hour.
