Drives gasoline or diesel-powered straight truck to transport and deliver concrete products, reinforcing or structural steel, warehouse materials, and/or scrap materials. Abides by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.

• Drive truck to destination applying commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle in difficult situations.
• Understand and follow the regulations of the DOT and the states entered.
• Maintain driver log, fuel and inspection reports according to DOT regulations.
• Inspect truck for defects before and after trips and submit reports indicating truck condition.
• Maintain truck and miscellaneous equipment in good, safe working condition.
• Block and secure all loads to protect from damage.
• Assist workers in loading and unloading truck and operate forklift as needed.
• Assist contractors when heavy equipment is being used to unload products.
• Check all products when delivered to verify the accuracy and condition of the load.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 2 years of driving experience, or
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Valid Commercial Driver’s License – Class B or Class

A.

• Must be able to work according to seasonal and order demand schedule.
• Able to travel 60% of the time, securing product and loading and unloading.
• Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
