Sales Team Member

Coastal Virginia Candle Company is looking for enthusiastic, friendly, and customer-oriented Sales Team Members to join our retail store in Hayes, Virginia. As a Sales Team Member, you will be the face of our brand—providing exceptional service, sharing product knowledge, and helping customers find the perfect handcrafted items for their home or gifts. Customer Engagement

• Greet customers warmly and provide personalized product recommendations.
• Educate customers on the features and benefits of our handcrafted candles, body products, and home goods.
• Ensure each customer has a memorable and positive shopping experience.

Sales & Product Knowledge

• Meet or exceed individual and store sales goals.
• Stay informed about new product launches, seasonal collections, and company promotions.
• Actively participate in sales events and marketing initiatives.

Store Maintenance

• Assist with merchandising, restocking, and maintaining visual displays.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and inviting at all times.
• Follow store opening and closing procedures as assigned.

Team Support

• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a supportive work environment.
• Participate in ongoing training and team meetings.
• Support store leadership with other duties as needed.

• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic personality.
• Passion for handcrafted products and small business values.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and special events.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
