ALL ABOUT STYLE A team of consultants who meet guests where they are and deliver for them through strong operations, guest experience and visual merchandising presentations that inspire guests and build the basket. A Style Consultant is focused on strong operations and an excellent guest experience, with in-store presentations that enable quick and easy self-discovery. Style Consultants are welcoming and helpful on the sales floor and in the fitting room, ensuring the floor is set with the right product, correctly priced and signed, with the right sizes, styles, and colors.

We believe in meaningful experiences that help team members develop skills for a career. The role of a Style Consultant can provide you with the following skills and experiences:

• Guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store
• Retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions strategies and basic visual merchandising
• Industry trends including style, seasonality, and brand differentiation
• Set, fill, and price the floor according to guest priorities

As a Style Consultant, no two days are the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:

• Drive sales and deliver a guest-ready floor by executing visual standards, promotional signing, and staying knowledgeable on assortment and brand offerings
• Use store tools to understand sales, inventory ownership, and to support guest needs
• Sort truck freight, push freight to the salesfloor, and locate merchandise in the backroom based on business needs
• Set visual presentations and merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales
• Maintain product availability and a full floor by executing priority fills, manual fills, and merchandising to capacity
• Execute backroom organization, including locating merchandise to support replenishment, fulfillment, and guest requests
• Remerchandise presentations as they sell through to deliver an inspiring shopping experience
• Support price change processes by executing clearance merchandising practices, including signing
• Maintain and use the fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and help guests
• Support fulfillment and guest needs by ensuring merchandise from the fitting room and guest service is worked back out to the salesfloor
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
• Work safely at all times; comply with safety policies, report hazards and correct where possible
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) while complying with laws
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as tasks are completed
• Engage with guests to solve their needs and thank them for shopping with Target
• All other duties based on business needs

• Strong interest and knowledge of apparel products and accessories

• Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology
• Effective communication skills

• Resolve guest questions quickly
• Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks

We are clear on a few more basics we expect
:

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
• Climb ladders
• Scan, handle and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends and holidays); reliable attendance
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions, including Drive-Up and carryout
• Able to stay mobile for the duration of a shift
