Cleaning Services
Primary Function
To clean Bellevue University buildings and facilities to ensure areas are presentable and safe for students, faculty, and staff.
Essential Functions- Sweeps and mops floors.
- Cleans sinks, toilets, urinals and all dispensers using appropriate cleaning solutions.
- Spot‑cleans walls, doors and partitions.
- Empties trashcans and sanitary napkin receptacles.
- Refills paper towel, toilet paper, soap and sanitary napkin dispensers.
- Sweeps and vacuums floors (including edging and baseboards).
- Washes windows using cleaning solutions.
- Vacuums floors (edging and under desks).
- Dusts hard surfaces (other than desks and bookcases unless asked).
- Spot‑cleans walls.
- Sprays showers with disinfect chemicals.
- Wipes off tables and chairs.
- Picks up trash and empties trashcans.
- Spot‑cleans walls.
- Cleans chalk/white boards; replaces markers/chalk and erasers.
- Shovels and salts walkways during the winter months to ensure areas are clear and safe.
- Sets‑up rooms/cleans up after university and community events.
- Washes accessible interior and exterior windows, cleans blinds and ledges.
- Shampoos/extracts carpets.
- Cleans out light fixtures.
- Cleans outside tables and benches.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. - Knowledge of safe handling procedures for various chemicals and cleaning agents.
- Ability to read and understand written work orders.
- Must have excellent time‑management skills, and be detail oriented and dependable.
- Computer
Skills:
General office and internet skills;
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

- Exposure to elements walking between buildings and when removing snow.

- Must be able to grasp tools with hands, and make repetitive motions with arms and legs.
