Job Title: Summer Camp Educator
Job Title Code: 2173
Number of Days Worked: May 26th - July 24th, approximately 4-5 hours/day, 3-5 days/week
Department: Gifford Farm
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Immediate Supervisor: Summer Camp Coordinator / Gifford Farm Coordinator
Staff Supervised: None
Essential Requirements- No history of child abuse or negligence.
- Regular and dependable in-person attendance is required and is considered a condition of employment.
- Successfully pass required background checks.
- Understand and comply with the ESU #3 Board of Education Personnel Policies and Employee Handbook.
- Collaborate with the Summer Camp Coordinator to plan and deliver engaging and educational summer camp programs for children.
- Facilitate hands‑on activities and experiences related to animals, agriculture, nature, and outdoor education.
- Supervise and engage with campers during activities to ensure safety, learning, and fun.
- Assist in setting up and cleaning up program areas, supplies, and materials as needed.
- Communicate effectively with the Summer Camp Coordinator and staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Provide a positive and welcoming environment for all participants.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Employment with ESU #3 is at‑will and may be terminated at any time by either party without cause and without advance notice. This job description is not a contract and may not be modified except by written agreement signed by the ESU #3 CEO.
EssentialPhysical Requirements
Occasional up to 33% of time essential tasks may require:
- Sitting
- Walking

- Bending or twisting at the neck
- Bending or twisting at the trunk
- Squatting/Stooping/Kneeling
- Reaching above the head
- Reaching forward
- Repeating the same hand, arm or finger motion many times (e.g., typing, data entry)
- Climbing (on ladders, large trucks/vehicles, etc.)
- Hand and grip strength
- Driving on the job (Gator)
- Typing non‑stop
- Manual dexterity (e.g., using a wrench or screwing a lid on a jar)
- Finger dexterity (typing or assembling small parts)
Lifting and handling requirements: up to 75 pounds may be expected for some tasks.
