Number of Days Worked: May 26th - July 24th, approximately 4-5 hours/day, 3-5 days/week
Department: ESU #3, Gifford Farm
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Immediate Supervisor: Summer Camp Coordinator / Gifford Farm Coordinator
Staff Supervised: None
Essential Requirements- No history of child abuse or negligence.
- Regular and dependable in-person attendance is required and is considered a condition of employment.
- Successfully pass required background checks.
- Understand and comply with the ESU #3 Board of Education Personnel Policies and Employee Handbook.
- Collaborate with the Summer Camp Coordinator to plan and deliver engaging and educational summer camp programs for children.
- Facilitate hands-on activities and experiences related to animals, agriculture, nature, and outdoor education.
- Supervise and engage with campers during activities to ensure safety, learning, and fun.
- Assist in setting up and cleaning up program areas, supplies, and materials as needed.
- Communicate effectively with the Summer Camp Coordinator and staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Provide a positive and welcoming environment for all participants.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Employment with ESU #3 is not for any period of time and may be terminated at any time at the convenience of the terminating party, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Employment with ESU #3 is not governed by any express or implied contract of employment containing terms different from or inconsistent with those stated in this job description.

Physical Requirements

- Activities – Climbing, driving on the job, hand/grip strength, typing, manual dexterity, finger dexterity.
- Lifting Requirements – Lifting up to 10-25 pounds (floor to waist, waist to shoulder, shoulder to overhead) as applicable; equipment or supplies may need to be moved.
- Carrying/Pushing/Pulling – May involve carrying 10-75 pounds and pushing/pulling 25-50 pounds, with some items over 50 pounds requiring assistance or alternate handling.
