Job OverviewLocated in Belleville, Clara Maass Medical Center is a facility of RWJBarnabas Health providing advanced treatment across many specialties. The Asst Director will support Nursing Director in ensuring quality care, compliance, and environmental readiness of the unit.
Required Certifications and Licenses- Registered Nurse licensed in New Jersey
- Maintenance of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program;
Master’s degree highly preferred - Successful completion of all orientation requirements
- Full Time days
- Assist Nursing Director in ensuring quality nurse care to all patients and units per hospital policies
- Develop and sustain an environment supporting compassionate care, healthcare excellence, and superior service
- Assist in development of patient care standards and continuing education
- Assist in performance evaluation of staff and in scheduling and staffing to meet department needs
- Assist in performance improvement, patient safety, and patient experience outcomes
- Ensure unit readiness for surveys and comply with environmental/equipment requirements
- Place purchase orders and follow up for delivery of materials or services
- Conduct daily rounds to maintain smooth patient throughput and coordinate with ancillary services
