Shift: Night – 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Work Hours: 25.2 hours per week

Job OverviewLocated in Belleville, Clara Maass Medical Center—part of RWJBarnabas Health—provides a full continuum of care to the residents of northern New Jersey. With over 700 physicians and 2,100 employees, the facility offers advanced treatment for a wide variety of medical conditions, including wound care, sleep disorders, bariatrics, orthopedics, cardiac services, cancer care, and emergency services. In 2017, the Medical Center completed a state‑of‑the‑art campus expansion featuring a new four‑story, 87,000 square‑foot building with a 32‑bed Intensive Care Unit and expanded Emergency Department.
QualificationsRequired:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Associate degree in nursing
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Minimum one (1) year RN experience
- Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and writing skills
- Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement
- BLS certification through American Heart Association
- ACLS or obtain within 6 months of hire
- Night Shift – 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Part‑Time – 25.2 hours per week
- Every other weekend required; weekly schedule varies by department needs
The Registered Nurse organizes and administers individualized, age‑specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and mission and vision of the Clara Maass Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies.
Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning, and in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
