Overview

Join Walmart as a Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC and work with a dynamic team to maintain and repair refrigeration and HVAC equipment in a local retail store. This role supports the Walmart facilities Refrigeration/HVAC equipment team using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and hand, digital, and power tools.

$23.00/hr - $45.00/hr

As a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician you will oversee repair within the Walmart facilities, support store associates, and document repair activities in the work order management system. You’ll respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls, inspect equipment, and ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s refrigeration and HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC skills.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive, support, and document work orders.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training for safe operation of equipment and tools.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart’s safety policies.
• Lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights, moving ladders as required.

• 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration/HVAC maintenance.
• Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I/Type II EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or Technical HVAC/R certification and 2‑4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field (commercial HVAC/R).

• Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.

• Individual compensation packages based on skill set, experience, and other factors.
