Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) (T2330)  starting hourly rate is $16.25 USD per hour. The pay range is $16.25 USD - $24.40 USD per hour.

Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption, usage and loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring quality.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests during daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs and resolve concerns.
• Inform guests about current promotions, store activities and events.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target.
• Know and discuss the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed.
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards and best practices.
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
• Explain how to use features within the Target App, including Wallet.
• Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering; guide guests to enroll, activate and use these features.
• Handle returns following register prompts; escalate to leadership as needed while adhering to policies.
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free workspace and manage unpurchased items, baskets, and hangers for removal.
• Restock supplies during store hours while being available to assist guests.
• Uphold a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-up orders, and returns with compliance to laws and policies.
• Other duties as needed based on business needs.

• Strong communication skills, welcoming attitude, attention to detail, and ability to educate guests about products and services.
• Ability to use multiple devices, operate handheld scanners, and other technology as directed.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; stay focused in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

• Accurate checkout operations and cash handling as needed.
• Safe handling, stocking, and movement of merchandise, including lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally with assistance as needed.
• Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance.
• Ability to remain mobile during a shift and work in varying temperatures and conditions (Drive-Up, carryout, etc.).
