Overview

Memorial Hospital Belleville is an acute care hospital offering medical and surgical services plus critical and emergency care. Memorial Hospital Shiloh is a 94‑bed, all‑private suite hospital recognized for Magnet status, providing emergency care, labor & delivery, medical and surgical services. The Environmental Services Department ensures a hygienic environment and handles laundry, linen pickup, and cleanliness.

Role Purpose

The Housekeeper is an environmental services worker responsible for daily housekeeping services as assigned, following procedures outlined by the hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine janitorial and cleaning activities in patient, public, and common areas using prescribed cleaning process.
  • Conduct discharge cleaning process in inpatient rooms and prepare room for next admission.
  • Set up and change rooms as needed, including changing linens, cleaning, mopping, and furnishing.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality according to procedure.
  • Notify supervisor or manager of any equipment, furniture, or building fixtures that require maintenance.
Qualifications
  • No experience required; supervisory experience not required.
  • Education:

    High School Diploma or GED.
