Join the team as a Data Entry Pharmacy Technician at Cedarhurst Senior Living located in Belleville, IL.
Your pay ranges from $17.00/hr to $22.00/hr

- Perform duties assigned by a licensed pharmacist.
- Maintain quality control and adhere to department procedures and policies.
- Read and transcribe physicians’ orders into the pharmacy computer medication profile; adjust dosing times, prepare unit doses, and label patient medications.
- Prepare and dispense individual patient drug orders, record doses for credit or charge, and communicate with prescribers and nurses.
- Prepare narcotic medications, maintain accurate records, and ensure pharmacists are aware of returns.
- Prepare outpatient compounds (e.g., creams, ointments) under direct pharmacist supervision.
- Prepack medications not in unit dosing using automatic prepackaging and label machines; keep records for recall.
- Participate in pharmacy staff meetings.
- Assist with billing, using computer functions, reason codes, and dates for charging and crediting.
- Help with checking in orders, putting orders away, and filing paperwork.
- Continue education through drug in‑services and policy updates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Certified by the Illinois Board of Pharmacy (required).
- Associate degree or technical program degree, or high school diploma with 1‑2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience (or equivalent).
- Active Pharmacy Technician Registration in Illinois.
- Demonstrated ethical conduct.
- Technical skills to provide top‑notch service.
- Willingness to work on site in rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, inclement weather.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; compassion for older adults.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations, multitask, and manage interruptions.
- High level of customer service, hospitality, curiosity, and friendliness to residents, visitors, employees, and the facility.
- Proficiency in internet browsers, Microsoft Office, EHR systems, and HR systems.
- Physical ability to stand, move, lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 200 pounds with assistance.
