The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a full-time Deputy Chief, Nuclear Inspections Division, GS-1801-13 located at the Nuclear Inspections Division at Scott AFB, Belleville, IL.
In this position, you will serve as the Deputy Chief, Nuclear Inspections Division, at a Major Command, sharing with the Division Chief the full scope of responsibility for directing the activities of the Division and possessing the same authority and prerogatives. This Deputy Division Chief position also applies 801X and Nuclear Surety Inspection experience to plan, organize and determine necessary policies, regulations, directives, programs, doctrine and procedures for the Division.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have an active Top Secret
- Rated Air Force nuclear aviator experience (e.g., pilot, navigator) is critical to the successful completion of the work and is highly desired
- Nuclear command and control air mobility experience is highly desired
- Nuclear tanker Wing Plans and/or Inspector General Experience is highly desired
- Knowledge of nuclear surety and inspections policies, procedures, and programs as they relate to the various command entities involved in nuclear airlift, nuclear command and control and nuclear air refueling operations involving air assets, en-route infrastructure, and employment of mission support forces, and assigned weapon systems.
- Knowledge of and skill in the applications of 801X and/or Nuclear Airlift expertise as it applies to the assigned nuclear inspection area. Knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative analyses of data associated with the nuclear inspection process.
- Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices and procedures.
- Skill in designing and conducting comprehensive studies, and preparing/presenting solutions to especially broad, important, and severe military operational and contingency areas.
Experience:
Emergency Action Messages, AF tanker pilot, Boom Operator, Command Post, or Maintenance Professional at a nuclear support tanker wing. Nuclear experience particularly with AF tanker aircraft is very highly desired.
