Reports to: Manager, Logistics

Purpose

The Supervisor, Logistics is accountable for providing leadership to assigned site location(s). This position manages day‑to‑day operations, ensures compliance with corporate policies, and meets delivery standards within the logistics environment.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

Leadership
  • Accountable for scheduling, time off requests, overtime shifts, and schedule changes.
  • Recruitment, hire, discipline, terminations, attendance, and performance management.
  • Identify, implement, and manage workflow changes within sites.
  • Meet Provincial Key Indicator targets.
  • Advisor and member of special project teams and initiatives.
  • Implement corporate initiatives (marketing, financial, human resources).
  • Manage corporate and regional initiatives that impact the site.
  • Manage financial results of front‑end operations: cost management, on budget.
Operational Effectiveness
  • Successfully manage daily operations of sites and functions within the region.
  • Ensure alignment with material management objectives.
  • Deliver on service and quality standards (TAT, accuracy, documentation, regulatory compliance/audit track record, health and safety).
  • Business Recovery Plan preparedness of self and team; implement BRP when required.
  • Regular utilization of logistics reports, determine root cause, and implement corrective action.
  • Ensure appropriate escalation of issues for resolution.
  • Set departmental SMART goals and work with the team to achieve them.
  • Implementation of organizational change initiatives within the site.
  • Correct application of Collective Agreements, where applicable.
  • Participate in meetings with Human Resources and local Union representatives to investigate grievances and other employee issues.
  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship with local Union representatives.
Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with Q & RA.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and practices (e.g., Courier Log Sheet Procedure).
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and external bodies (inspectors, MTO, ICBC, etc.).
  • Makes recommendations on the development and implementation of process improvements aligned to Lean initiatives.
EH & S
  • Perform workplace inspections.
  • Conduct information sessions (safety talks, staff meetings).
  • Conduct incident investigations.
  • Conduct employee training.
  • Correct substandard acts or conditions.
What You Bring To

The Role
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 3 to 5 years Logistics Experience.
  • Operations experience required; health care sector preferred.
  • Logistics Lead Experience a definite asset.
  • Requires full valid Class G Driver’s license, clean driving abstract.

What We Offer: $66,800–$85,200 CAD annually (commensurate with experience)
