Position: Commercial Parts Pro  Store 5327

Overview

Professional level sales position capable of supporting advanced functions on the commercial side of the business. The role is responsible for profitable growth of the commercial business via customer retention and growth. The position partners with the GM to manage Team Members. The role requires expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts, and the ability to source from multiple channels (special order, FDO, second source, etc.).

The role may direct drivers to ensure timely and accurate delivery. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain commercial customer relationships
  • Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
  • Aim to achieve personal/store sales goals and service objectives
  • Provide day-to-day supervisory support for Team Members
  • Collaborate with the GM on coaching and developmental needs for Team Members
  • Dispatch drivers to ensure delivery standards are met
  • Maintain commercial stocking programs
  • Build and maintain a network of second-source suppliers
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Maintain core bank and commercial returns
  • Maintain commercial credit accounts
  • Partner with the GM to ensure proper driver coverage

Essential Experience & Education
  • Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability (engine, suspension, brakes, electronic, exhaust, etc.)
  • Speak and write English;
    Spanish a plus; effective communication and relationship-building with customers, peers and management
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and manuals; ability to write simple correspondence
  • Understand and execute instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Successful completion of the Parts Knowledge Assessment
  • Basic math skills; use of math in all units of measure
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of Commercial profitability concepts and pricing discussions for Commercial customers (may involve pricing discounts with the Commercial Account Manager)
  • Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
Experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of prior automotive parts experience preferred
  • Proven sales ability with experience fulfilling customer transactions
  • Formal or informal experience leading teams and coordinating daily tasks to achieve goals
Education & Certifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • ASE Certification preferred, but not required

Work Environment

Typically indoors; may occasionally be outdoors and exposed to weather conditions while performing tasks such as installing batteries and wiper blades. Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; chemicals; risk of electrical shock; explosives; and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Range: 16.45 USD per hour – 18.10 USD per hour

Position is eligible for sales commission based on individual or store performance.
