Responsibilities
  • Lead and participate in labor, delivery, and postpartum care with a focus on safety, comfort, and family-centered experiences.
  • Continuous fetal and maternal monitoring, managing medications and labor progress.
  • Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, perform assessments and postpartum care.
  • Facilitate neonatal resuscitation when needed, and coordinate with the NICU team to ensure seamless transitions for newborns.
  • Provide evidence-based education to families about labor, pain management options, premature birth prevention, newborn care, breastfeeding support, and newborn screening.
  • Support the continuum of care from admission to discharge.
  • Pursue targeted certifications (such as NRP and OB-specific credentials) and opportunities to take on charge or mentoring duties, with pathways to leadership or educator tracks within the network.
  • Participate in professional growth opportunities and benefit from a comprehensive support framework.
