The RCG Systems Specialist will play a critical role in optimizing the efficiency and accuracy of the revenue cycle process. This position will focus on leveraging information systems to streamline workflows, improve data integrity, and enhance financial performance. The RCG System Specialist will collaborate with various departments to identify areas for improvement, implement technological solutions, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
In order to achieve this goal their responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- System Configuration and Optimization:
Configure and optimize information systems to align with revenue cycle workflows and business rules. Implement system enhancements and updates to improve efficiency and accuracy. - Workflow Analysis and Improvement:
Analyze existing workflows to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Develop and implement processes to streamline operations and reduce manual tasks. - Project Management:
Manage RCG projects involving information systems, including planning, execution, and evaluation. Work with RCG stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. - Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure information system functionality complies with relevant federal and state regulations. - Training and Support:
Provide training and support to RCG users regarding information system functionality and best practices. - Data Integrity & Quality:
Implement and maintain data quality standards and procedures to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Develop and execute data cleansing and validation processes.
Regulatory Requirements
- Associate degree in Health Information Management, IT, Business Administration or related field.
- 3+ years’ experience in Revenue Cycle, Informatics, Business Process Design, Business Analyst, or Management Information Systems.
Language Skills
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Skills required:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Proven ability in assembling, compiling, analyzing, and summarizing data.
- Demonstrated analytical ability in preparing reports and gathering statistical data.
- Able to synthesize information and knowledge as a key component of critical thinking and decision making.
- Ability to take direction and work independently.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Medical terminology and coding.
