Overview

Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive, individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. Provide general supervision of physical therapy assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.
• Ensure duties and responsibilities align with Mercy mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Physical Therapist, Wildwood

Location: 16555 Manchester Rd, Wildwood, MO 63040

Shift: Mon/Wed 8:30-6:00 PM;
Tue/Thu 7:30 AM-5:00 PM;
Fri 8:00 AM-12:00 PM

• Education
  :
  Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctor of Physical Therapy.
• Licensure
  :
  Current or Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• Certifications
  : BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
• Experience
  :
  Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
