About This Role:
Instruct college students in accordance with educational theories and techniques. Develop discipline-related curricula, assess student learning, participate in program evaluation, and support the college's mission and strategic plan. Work schedule varies according to teaching assignment.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and demonstrated experience in clinical practice as a registered nurse or Master’s degree in Nursing, or Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Nursing and current State of Florida licensure as a Registered Nurse or higher.
Responsibilities- Instruct college students in accordance with educational theories and techniques.
- Develop discipline-related curricula, assess student learning, participate in program evaluation, and engage in college activities.
- Maintain college and department standards in support of the College's mission and strategic plan.
- Current 2-year CPR BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, and on multiple campuses if needed.
- Occupational experience required; teaching experience recognized.
- Ability to demonstrate the use of technology in the classroom and use the technology required for the assigned course; coursework within the degree must reflect competencies in the courses to be taught.
- Demonstrated cultural competency to engage and work with a diverse student and employee population.
- Ability to complete required professional development for teaching strategies and for clinical practice if not working as a RN or higher clinician.
