- Provide oversight and supervision of all Harris Health System Cancer Registry Program work activities and registry operation.
- Manage staffing and overall registry operations.
- Produce reports, perform audits and provide training.
- Code, stage and abstract all cancer cases diagnosed and/or treated at Harris Health.
- Ensure compliance with Texas Cancer Registry guidelines, American College of Surgeons (ACoS) and Commission on Cancer (CoC) standards.
- Perform data entry utilizing Elekta (Mosaiq) software.
- Maintain the quality and integrity of the database and ensure department compliance with all internal and external policies, regulations and procedures.
- Bachelor s degree required in Health Care Information Management (preferred) or applicable field.
- Certified Tumor Registrar required.
- Three (3) to five (5) years in an ACoS accredited Cancer Registry department.
- Three (3) years of management experience in a Cancer Registry department.
- Equipment Operated: PC, calculator, Microsoft Office.

Familiar with Electronic Medical Record and Cancer Registry software systems. Excellent time management and ability to respond quickly to completing priorities. Knowledge of American College of Surgeons Standards; proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint);
Elekta Cancer Registry software program; SEER, FORDS manual, and AJCC staging manual.
