CDL Driver, Heavy and Tractor-Trailer Truck Driver, Road; OTR Driver, and Delivery Driver

Overview

Commercial Drivers are responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods, materials, or equipment using commercial vehicles. This role plays a critical part in daily operations by ensuring deliveries are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all transportation regulations.

Route Planning & Transportation

• Operate commercial vehicles to transport goods according to assigned routes, schedules, and delivery requirements.

Loading & Unloading

• Load, secure, and unload cargo while ensuring proper weight distribution and compliance with safety standards.

Vehicle Operation & Inspection

• Safely operate commercial vehicles in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery paperwork, and electronic records as required by DOT regulations.

Customer & Site Interaction

• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, and site personnel during deliveries and pickups.

Safety & Regulatory Compliance

• Follow all safety procedures, traffic laws, and DOT regulations to maintain a safe driving record.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous commercial driving experience preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class A or B (as applicable)
• Clean driving record
• Ability to lift and secure cargo as required

• Knowledge of DOT regulations
• Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Strong communication skills

• Valid CDL (Class A or

• DOT medical card
• Endorsements (Hazmat, Tanker, or others) as required for the role
