Position: Case Manager - DV Services For All

PROGRAM: Domestic Violence Services For All (DVSFA)
STATUS: Full Time - Non-Exempt REPORTS TO: Director of Family & Community Services HOURS PER WEEK: 40 LOCATION: Bell Gardens, CA POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide case management, advocacy, safety planning, case planning, educational groups and outreach services for individuals impacted by intimate partner/domestic violence in our Domestic Violence Services for All (DVSFA) Program. Services are generally provided in the office; however, telehealth services while on-site are conducted as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Build trust with clients using a trauma-informed approach.
  • Manage a caseload of 20+ clients.
  • Conduct intake assessments, crisis intervention, and case planning.
  • Provide referrals, advocacy, safety planning, and educational group services.
  • Participate in outreach events, including occasional after hours or weekend work.
  • Collaborate with coworkers, supervisors, and community stakeholders.
  • Attend meetings, training, and maintain program compliance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to agency policies.
  • Maintain Quality Assurance/Continuous Quality Improvement standards as per contract.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of domestic violence and other trauma, and social work principles.
  • Experience working with diverse communities (e.g., LGBTQ+, low income, immigrant families).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and independent judgment skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow policies/procedures.
  • Preferred language(s) (English/Spanish/Chinese/Mandarin) highly desirable.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Human Services, or related field.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in social services, family support, or working with at-risk families.
  • Experience with domestic/intimate partner victims and knowledge of community resources available are preferred.
LICENSING/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Occasional driving is required. Must provide your own vehicle, valid California Driver’s License and proof of full insurance coverage.
  • Negative tuberculosis screening.
  • We require the selected candidate to undergo a criminal background check using the Live Scan fingerprinting method in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Work in moderate noise levels and non-smoking environment
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds independently
  • Frequently involves sitting, standing, walking, squatting, bending, and climbing stairs (as needed)
  • Occasionally may be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Must be able to speak and hear clearly to communicate effectively
  • Constantly operates a computer, keyboard, and other various office machinery
  • Majority of job duties are performed onsite; however, visits to different sites may be required

COMPENSATION:

In accordance with California law, the expected pay range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
