CNC Calculator & Planner
For our CNC department, we are looking for an analytical and hands‑on CNC Work Planner/Cost Estimator who acts as the link between design, planning, and production. You optimize production methods, calculate cost prices, and ensure that our CNC operations run efficiently, accurately, and according to schedule.
- Analyze technical drawings, models, and sketches to determine the correct machining methods.
- Define work methods, machining sequences, machine times, and execution times.
- Prepare cost calculations based on work preparation data.
- Request quotations, evaluate price offers, and determine delivery times.
- Plan production orders, taking capacity and efficiency into account while identifying potential bottlenecks.
- Support production with tool management, standardization, and technical questions.
- Perform post‑calculations to improve costing models and internal processes.
- Collaborate closely with Sales Administration and report directly to the Head of the CNC Business Unit.
- Experience as a work planner or cost estimator, or extensive hands‑on experience as a CNC turner/miller.
- Knowledge of 5‑axis milling; multitasking (mill/turn) experience is a plus.
- Strong technical and practical insight; able to make realistic assessments based on drawings.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and compare similar components.
- Basic knowledge of ERP systems and strong command of Office applications.
- Hands‑on mentality with the drive to initiate and guide improvement projects.
- Strong communication skills, accuracy, motivation, and a team‑oriented attitude.
- Excellent command of Dutch English is an advantage.
