Full-time
Xeryon is a fast‑growing and innovative scale‑up based in Leuven, Belgium, focused on developing and producing groundbreaking micro motors. These motors are smaller than a fingertip and are used in medical devices, robotics, the semiconductor industry, and other high‑tech sectors.
We are scaling rapidly — from 6,000 motors per year today to 100,000+ in the coming years. Backed by two investment funds, we are building a scalable, high‑quality production organization in Belgium with a strong focus on process excellence, automation, and industrialization.
To support this growth, we are looking for a Production Engineer who combines a broad manufacturing mindset with an affinity for CNC‑based production environments.
Your roleAs a Production Engineer, you will be a key driver in optimizing, structuring, and scaling our production processes. You will work across machining, assembly, testing, and logistics, ensuring that our production grows in a controlled, efficient, and high‑quality way.
While CNC machining (including Heidenhain‑controlled machines), sawing, and laser processes are an important part of our manufacturing setup, your role goes beyond individual machines. You will focus on end‑to‑end production flows, process robustness, automation, and continuous improvement.
What will you do?Production & Process Optimization
- Analyze and improve end‑to‑end production processes, from incoming material to finished product.
- Support and optimize machining‑related processes, including CNC, sawing, and laser operations.
- Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and quality risks, and translate them into concrete improvements.
- Ensure smooth interaction between machining, assembly, and downstream processes.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve flow, reduce waste, and increase scalability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives together with operators, team leads, and engineering.
- Support the transition from prototype‑oriented work to stable series production.
- Initiate and support automation and digitalization projects across production.
- Improve repeatability, throughput, and ergonomics using practical, cost‑effective solutions.
- Contribute to the industrialization of new products and processes.
- Help build and maintain a structured production environment aligned with ISO 9001.
- Create and maintain clear work instructions, process documentation, and standard procedures.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to production issues.
- Manage and optimize the use of ERP (Odoo) to support production planning and execution.
- Improve routings, BOMs, and feedback from the shop floor.
- Analyze production data to support decision‑making and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Broad understanding of manufacturing and production environments.
- Affinity with CNC machining and related processes; experience with Heidenhain‑controlled machines is a plus, not a requirement.
- Experience or strong interest in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with automation concepts and basic industrial components.
- Knowledge of or experience with ISO 9001 and quality systems.
- Comfortable working close to the shop floor and translating analysis into action.
- Experience with an ERP system (preferably Odoo) is a plus.
- Entrepreneurial mindset; you enjoy building and improving systems in a growing scale‑up.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- A broad and impactful production engineering role in a fast‑growing high‑tech scale‑up.
- Exposure to machining, automation, assembly, quality, and industrialization.
- A competitive salary package.
- Flexible working hours.
- A technically strong and motivated team with short decision lines.
- Opportunities for growth, ownership, and long‑term impact.
- A full‑time position in Leuven, Belgium.
We’d love to hear from you – apply now and tell us why you’d be a great fit for our team.
