As Team Leader Mould, you play a key role in ensuring perfectly maintained moulds that form the foundation of every high-quality glass container.

You ensure that your team, processes and structures work seamlessly together, enabling production to run efficiently, safely and without compromising quality.

You combine strong technical expertise with natural leadership, bringing calm, clarity and structure to a dynamic production environment. You make sure that every mould is in optimal condition at the right time, and remains so.

In short: a true "Flessenier" at heart, with a passion for technology and a keen eye for structure, and for bottle perfection.

Responsibilities & Key Tasks Operational Leadership
  • Leading, guiding and coaching the mould maintenance team

  • Coordinating and monitoring all maintenance, repair and overhaul activities on moulds and accessories

  • Ensuring accurate and complete maintenance reports

  • Planning maintenance activities, mould changes and urgent interventions efficiently

  • Supervising the safe, orderly and efficient operation of the mould maintenance workshop

  • Ensuring that all work is correctly registered, monitored and archived

Quality, Innovation & Sustainability
  • Safeguarding mould quality in close cooperation with Production and Quality departments

  • Performing and coordinating inspections at the hot end, cold end and in the workshop

  • Analyzing mould‑related defects and deviations and defining corrective actions

  • Actively contributing to improvement projects focused on efficiency, quality, mould lifespan and process stability

People & Development
  • Being visibly present on the shop floor to stimulate motivation, collaboration and discipline

  • Training and coaching new employees, interns and junior operators

  • Conducting evaluation and well‑being discussions with operators

  • Preparing and monitoring shift schedules, holiday planning and staffing levels

  • Taking part in selection interviews with potential new colleagues

Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Reporting performance, KPIs, improvement actions and maintenance results to the Mould Manager

  • Monitoring and analysing data related to mould lifespan, number of repairs and failures

  • Providing input for budgets, investments, maintenance planning and material requirements

  • Ensuring correct documentation, procedures and uniform working methods within the department

  • Monitoring compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards

Qualifications, Competencies & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanics, Industrial Sciences, or equivalent through experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in a technical production environment (preferably within the glass or heavy industry)

  • Experience in a leadership or coordinating role is a strong asset

  • Experience with moulds, fine mechanics, maintenance and technical workshops

  • Strong analytical, structured and problem‑solving skills

  • A people manager with a natural leadership style and strong communication skills

  • Organised, resilient and able to perform under pressure

  • Fluent in Dutch and English

  • Experience with reporting and data analysis is a plus
