Infrastructure Architect

Context :

Reports to Head of IT Architecture

Purpose:

An infrastructure architect designs, builds and oversees the implementation of infrastructure concepts for an organization, in close collaboration with the infrastructure team (reporting to the head of IT Operations). You will bring the architectural setups to life given the existing constraints.

As a senior-level employee, you'll be responsible for creating complex models and structures and ensuring they work.

• Infrastructure architect
• Excellent understanding of architecture/design patterns.
• Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture and its sub-disciplines.
• (Help) lead the enterprise's Infrastructure Architecture missions.
• Deliver an Infrastructure Architecture vision and guidelines in a specific domain.
• Ensure alignment of solutions and projects with the architectural vision.
• Engage all relevant stakeholders from the initial concept to the final completion of the models.
• Ensure that all infrastructure and security guidelines and evolutions are endorsed and adhered to by the company.
• Validate the Infrastructure Architecture parts of the project deliverables; low level designs and configuration will be handled by the infrastructure team itself.
• Identify risks and manage mitigation actions associated with the Infrastructure Architecture.
• Act as the central point of contact in a company for all infra-related matters.
• Able to manage priorities.

• Proven adept coaching/training/mentoring skills, able to stimulate people & team development.
• Proven communication and presentation skills, capable of coaching small and large groups.
• 10 years of experience in a similar position.
• Good reporting methods.

• Able to adapt easily in a new team.
• Proactive attitude and ability to apply high quality standards.
• Be a flexible team-player attitude and you’re accurate, committed and eager to learn.
• Be pragmatic and eager to help the department evolve towards a structured organization.
