Solution Architect

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a professional Solution Architect to join our Uni Que Braine-l'Alleud, Belgium team.

• Lead the design and evolution of architectures for complex solutions, ensuring alignment with agreed requirements.
• Define architectural policies, principles, and practices guiding component selection and solution design.
• Balance functional, service quality, and systems management needs while managing architectural trade-offs within a major organisational domain.
• Present architectural decisions and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
• Coordinate and govern target architecture across multiple projects and initiatives.
• Maintain architectural stability and ensure consistent design practices and compliance with standards.
• Plan and oversee scoping, requirements definition, and prioritisation for large and complex programmes.
• Select and tailor appropriate requirements engineering methods, tools, and techniques.
• Contribute to organisational standards and practices for requirements management.
• Gather stakeholder input, secure agreement on requirements, and manage competing priorities through negotiation.
• Establish and maintain requirements baselines, ensuring controlled assessment and management of changes.
• Define policies and ensure compliance with systems development standards.
• Integrate security and privacy considerations throughout the system development lifecycle.
• Identify and manage resources required across all project phases.
• Ensure delivery meets technical, financial, and quality objectives.
• Develop or approve network architectures, topologies, and configuration documentation within the area of responsibility.
• Define network design parameters including connectivity, capacity, performance, interfaces, security, and access aligned with business needs.
• Assess network risks and define recovery strategies and contingency procedures.
• Produce multiple architectural views addressing stakeholder concerns and both functional and non‑functional requirements.

• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with at least 5 years of related post‑graduate experience or Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of current and emerging Mobile Infrastructure technologies (deployable, dispersible, highly mobile CIS).
• Experience in systems design and integration, including: AC power distribution systems, Emergency power generation and fuel storage, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) solutions
• Solid understanding of wireless technologies and trends, including SATCOM.
• Experience with architecture modelling languages (UML, SysML, Archi Mate, etc.), ideally within recognised frameworks (NAFv4, TOGAF, DoDAF, Zachman) and Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Practical application of quality assurance methodologies.
• Proven involvement in development, deployment, testing, maintenance, and support of modern communications equipment.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• PRINCE2 Foundation or equivalent project management certification (e.g., PMP).

• PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent (e.g., PMP).
• Archi Mate, TOGAF, or equivalent architecture certification.
