Introduction

We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure & Operations Specialist to join our team. This role ensures that IT systems remain available and compliant with internal and external regulations. It requires a strong technical background across multiple IT disciplines, combined with excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.

The IT Infrastructure & Operations Specialist reports to the EMEA Infrastructure, Security & Operations Lead.

Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure Management

  • Design, install, configure, update, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot backend IT infrastructure (servers, cloud systems, telephone systems, switches, etc.).
  • Perform and document ad-hoc and recurring backend IT operations.
  • Resolve IT infrastructure incidents, collaborating with higher-level support or third-party suppliers as needed, and log all incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system.
  • Ensure infrastructure availability and maintain a documented and tested disaster recovery plan.

Compliance

  • Ensure IT infrastructure aligns with corporate IT strategies and policies.
  • Maintain compliance with external regulations and requirements.

IT Infrastructure Projects

  • Lead and deliver small to medium-scale IT projects.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in corporate IT and business initiatives.
  • Manage project scope, execution, follow-up, and reporting.

End-User IT Support

  • Provide IT support to local and remote users.
  • Resolve front-end incidents and document solutions in the ticketing system.
  • Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot hardware and software (PCs, peripherals, printers, phone systems, office applications).

Front-End System Administration

  • Manage IT aspects of user onboarding, offboarding, and transfers.
  • Administer hardware and software assets.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides.

Lab and Manufacturing IT Support

  • Collaborate as SME in lab and manufacturing projects.
  • Support installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting of lab/manufacturing IT systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in IT.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations within a manufacturing environment, including leading small to mid-sized projects.
  • A versatile, hands-on professional eager to broaden expertise.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, with strong communication skills for interaction with HQ and manufacturing stakeholders.
