As a freelancer, you will help BDO support organisations that need to redesign or update their reward structures in line with upcoming transparency obligations. You will take end‑to‑end ownership of analytical and structural C&B work.

You will:

• Design and update salary grids based on job architecture, benchmarking inputs and internal equity principles.
• Translate the EU Pay Transparency Directive into practical C&B frameworks, guidelines and reporting tools.
• Analyse compensation data to identify pay gaps
  , compliance risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Support clients in building fair, consistent, and transparent reward systems.
• Facilitate workshops with HR, managers or employee representatives.
• Deliver clear documentation, recommendations, and implementation roadmaps.

A typical day might involve reviewing job descriptions, updating a salary matrix, analysing pay‑equity data, and summarising compliance requirements linked to pay transparency.

• Solid experience in Compensation & Benefits
  , with proven expertise in salary grid design and function weighting
  .
• Strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate complex requirements into user‑friendly structures.
• Understanding of — or willingness to quickly master — the EU Pay Transparency Directive and its impact on HR.
• Ability to work independently as a freelancer

• Fluency in Dutch or French and English
