About The Job
As an Early Development Global Study Leader within our R&D team, you will plan, execute and lead clinical trial operations that bring breakthrough treatments from concept to reality.

Gent, Belgium
Job type:
Permanent, full time
- Oversee the setup, conduct and closure of clinical studies, ensuring smooth and efficient execution from start to finish.
- Develop operational study plans and lead cross‑functional study teams, including medical leads, data managers, statisticians, clinical supplies managers, and regulatory affairs specialists.
- Define and monitor budgets and timelines, establishing study guidelines and delegating tasks effectively.
- Develop strategies to optimize operations, including recruitment, and evaluate opportunities to accelerate study timelines.
- Monitor study progress, identify risks and issues, develop mitigation plans, and implement corrective measures when needed.
- Coordinate local and country operations, select and oversee central vendors, and manage outsourced activities or CROs where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), relevant regulations, and internal SOPs throughout all study phases.
- Mentor Global Study Leaders, apprentices, and trainees, and lead or participate in transversal activities related to clinical study processes.
- Education:
Master's Degree - Experience:
Minimum 2 years in clinical research, preferably in clinical trial management with international exposure; field monitoring or related experience is a strong plus. - Core competencies:
Intermediate-level skills in leadership, risk management, project management, clinical development knowledge, problem solving, change management, emotional intelligence and vendor management; basic data management skills and intermediate scientific background. - Technical skills:
Clinical Trials Management or Project Management experience required, Digital Innovation experience. - Languages:
Strong English communication skills (verbal and written);
French or Dutch are nice to have.
