The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring effective implementation of regulations related to health data usage while collaborating with various stakeholders in the healthcare sector.
ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of necessary capabilities to comply with health data regulations. Key aspects of the role include:
- Leading projects that translate regulatory requirements into actionable objectives and implementation plans.
- Managing multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical decisions align with policy objectives.
- Facilitating collaboration among stakeholders, including healthcare institutions and government bodies.
- Monitoring recent developments in health data policy and implementing actionable strategies to enhance data quality.
- Establishing governance structures and utilizing tools that support secondary use of health data.
- Coordinating project structures, budgeting, risk management, and ensuring quality control across parallel initiatives.
The perfect candidate will have a track record of successfully managing transformation and data projects, particularly within the public health sector. Experience relating to the evolving context of secondary data use in Belgium and Europe is highly valuable. Additional important traits include:

The successful candidate should possess the following skills and experiences:
- Deep knowledge of EHDS regulations and strategic operational insight.
- Expertise in the following areas:
Health
DCAT-AP, HL7-FHIR, ICD-10/11, LOINC, SNOMED CT. - PMO and program management experience with large-scale transformation projects.
- Fluency in English and Dutch, with proficiency in French as an added advantage.
