Head of Finance & Operating Partner(Part-Time / Full-Time)

We are seeking a versatile and strategic leader to serve as our Head of Finance & Operating Partner. This combined role will oversee financial management, operational excellence, and platform oversight, ensuring the smooth functioning and growth of Syndicate One. The position is ideally part-time with potential to evolve into a full-time leadership role as the organization expands.

• Lead financial strategy, planning, budgeting, and reporting to ensure fiscal health and transparency.
• Oversee accounting, treasury, and fund operations (including SPVs, Pool Cos, and investment vehicles).
• Manage investor reporting, audits, and tax filings in collaboration with external advisors.

• Take full ownership of all legal, regulatory, and compliance obligations across entities and geographies.
• Manage contracts, NDAs, and investment documentation (PPMs, LPAs, SPAs, etc.).
• Ensure adherence to fund regulations, AML/KYC standards, data protection (GDPR), and investor accreditation requirements.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel and regulatory authorities as needed.

• Manage operational processes, workflows, and systems to optimize efficiency across initiatives and platforms.
• Oversee platform management and digital tools used for community engagement, investments, and events.
• Drive initiatives to improve scalability and ensure governance best practices across the organization.
• Collaborate with founders, operators, and ecosystem stakeholders to support growth initiatives.
• Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making to advance Syndicate One’s mission.
• Support fundraising, investor relations, and cross-border partnerships.

• Significant experience in financial management, operations, or venture-backed organizations
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and project management skills
• Familiarity with financial systems, startup ecosystems, and digital platforms
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a dynamic, remote environment
• Passionate about startups, venture capital, and the Belgian tech ecosystem
