Design Engineer Mechanical - Energy Conversion

As a Design Engineer Mechanical Engineer Solutions APX - Energy Conversion, your mission is to translate customer needs into tailored compressor, dryer, and accessory solutions. In this role, you report to the Team Leader Mechanical Design and play a key part in delivering reliable and efficient technical solutions.

You develop and evaluate technical alternatives, identify potential risks, and select the most effective solution for each project. You are responsible for designing and modifying technical drawings and parts lists, writing procedures, and ensuring the safety and quality of your designs through thorough risk analyses.

Throughout the production process, you support technicians, help resolve technical issues, and validate the work of peers to ensure consistent quality. You collaborate closely with suppliers in coordination with the purchasing manager, as well as with competence carriers and various internal teams to achieve the best possible results.

In addition, you support the quotation team by translating specifications into machine requirements and selecting the appropriate components. Working closely with the project team, you contribute to compressor designs, promote standardization, and ensure centralized data sharing within the Global Engineering team.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Knowledge of CAD systems (Inventor/AutoCAD) and ENOVIA.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
• Affinity for mechanical design and product optimization.
• Initiative, problem‑solving mindset, and team spirit.
