As an Electrical Project Engineer, you shape the next generation of our industrial solutions by turning complex electrical challenges into robust and efficient designs that power our products from prototype to full-scale production. In this role, you act as a crucial link between engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers, ensuring that every unit we build meets the highest standards for safety, reliability, and future readiness.

A key part of your work focuses on cubicle design, where you support prototype build-up events and collaborate closely with suppliers to achieve the optimal setup in terms of validation and quality. You design the electrical configuration of our units, determine wiring strategies, and calculate critical cubicle components such as breakers and cable sizes. In addition, you create and review essential technical documentation, including service diagrams, wire harness documentation, AIB content, and legal files.

Within electrical engineering, you contribute to building and maintaining strong electrical expertise across the organization. This includes clear technical communication, establishing and maintaining design rules, developing CAN expertise, and acting as a lead during UL audits.

You also provide vital production support by assisting production lines when electrical issues arise or when there are shortages of electronic components. In these situations, you help calculate and validate electrical components such as fuses, overload protections, and motor currents to ensure smooth and safe operations.

You play an important role in the development and optimization of our drive systems. You support the tuning of our drives in the laboratory together with test engineers and FRO, perform theoretical sizing of frequency drives, communicate with suppliers regarding drive selection, and work closely with our technology experts to continuously improve our drive technologies.

Hybrid

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our premises in Wilrijk, Belgium.
