3. Senior Marine Design Engineer Your Role For the expansion of the Marine Design and Engineering Department we are currently looking for a
** Senior Marine Design Engineer**.Your main tasks and responsibilities are:
* Providing technical expertise for the design (calculations) of new vessels and for the conversion of existing vessels.
* Designing project specific installations like cable laying equipment, steel and offshore constructions.

Leading project specific calculations for hydrodynamics, motion analysis, lifting operations, sea transports, vessel mooring, etc...
* Preparing and reviewing technical specifications for other departments (purchase department, logistics department).
* Consultation with internal departments to determine design constraints (operating conditions, functionality etc...)
* You hold a master’s degree in engineering sciences with option Electromechanics/mechanics, shipbuilding or naval architecture with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
* You have experience with calculation methods, software and theoretical aspects that are applicable on the design of vessels and their installations, knowledge of hydrodynamic behavior of floating vessels is required.
