AUTHORISED ELECTRICAL PERSON (DATA CENTRE)

We have an exciting opportunity for an Authorised Person(s) to join AEP Global on our Clients site in Belgium on a Data Centre Project.

AEP Global provides Solutions Services to numerous industries:
Nuclear, Data Centers, Oil & Gas, Renewables.

Represent AEP Global and our client as Authorised Person (AP) as AP you must be a professional who will be responsible for the safety of yourself and others in LV areas; the Authorised Person must take steps to ensure Electrical equipment is safely isolated and safe to work on and is ultimately responsible for helping ensure the the SSOW onsite and assisting the SAP who will oversee the AP.

• Organise and execute LOTO and issue of safety documentation for customer LV Equipment
• Ensure, so far as is reasonable and practicable, that all personnel observe and comply with relevant Safe Systems of Work
• Supervise and coordinate on-site teams and sub-contractors, ensuring they complete tasks on time and safely to required standards
• Allocate work and ensure completion in accordance with the project schedule and Cx Plan
• Adhere to all Statutory Standards and Regulations
• Assist teams with resolving matters arising
• Maintain effective health and safety systems, including completion of risk assessments, method statements, tool box talks, etc.
• Complete project documentation and reports accurately and concisely
• Identify corrective actions and implementation of countermeasures to maximise productivity
• Liaise with client managers daily and have a voice in project meetings
• Ensure LV permits are complete correctly and assist CEP onsite to ensure SSOW
• Carry out LV electrical testing activities where required

• Authorised as AP able to work on LV Equipment.
• 2391 testing and inspection or equivalent
• Experience of delivering efficient and effective services to customers whether on site or at a planning stage from an office environment.
• Excellent knowledge of Distribution Safety rules and their application.
• Excellent H&S Knowledge and Standards
• Safe Pass/CCNSG/Safety Passport
• The ability to demonstrate a pragmatic and 'common sense' approach to problem solving
• The ability to prioritise works, accommodate conflicting requests, whilst ensuring the day to day functionality of the project
• Ability to identify faults in project accurately and quickly when under pressure
• Excellent leadership skills with proven experience of managing a team
• Experience of working within "time critical" production environments
• Highly organised with the ability to manage time effectively
• EU Passport Holder / EU Resident Visa / EU Work Permit or EU CITIZEN
• Confident at running meetings and leading teams
• Previous experience as a Authorised Person.

• Experience of meeting planned project deadlines
• Highly organised ability to manage time effectively
• Good IT skills
  
  Recognised Safety Training such as CITB/IOSH/NEEBSOH
• 2+ years experience as an AP
• Technically qualified with a HNC or equivalent apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering
• HV switching cert & experience
