To strengthen our vibrant H2 Industry Team, we are currently looking for a highly motivated, experienced and dynamic Project Manager
.
As a Project Manager, you will lead the end‑to‑end development of advanced vehicles or vessels. While the detailed design work is outsourced, you will be the central orchestrator, defining functional requirements, ensuring safety compliance and overseeing all technical and commercial aspects of the project. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver high‑performance, cost‑effective and future‑ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Define functional requirements: Translate business and operational needs into clear, actionable technical specifications for outsourced design teams.
- Project coordination: Lead the full development lifecycle, from concept to commissioning, ensuring alignment across mechanical, electrical and software domains.
- Stakeholder management: Act as the primary liaison between internal departments, external design partners and suppliers.
- Safety & compliance: Participate in all safety studies (HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, etc.) and ensure regulatory and class compliance throughout the project.
- Commissioning support: Be actively involved in system integration, testing and commissioning activities on‑site.
- Performance & cost tracking: Monitor product performance targets, cost evolution and delivery timelines.
- Risk management: Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Documentation & reporting: Maintain clear project documentation and provide regular updates to senior management.
What do you bring?
- Formal education: you hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Marine Engineering or equivalent through experience;
- You have at least 2 years of proven experience in managing complex engineering projects, preferably in maritime or heavy‑duty sectors;
- Languages: you are proficient in English and preferably Dutch
; - Strong understanding of system integration, functional design and safety‑critical development;
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams;
- Willingness to travel occasionally for partner meetings, site visits and commissioning.
