TASKS
  • You are responsible for the execution of a research project in the domain of modelling of filament wound composite tanks for hydrogen storage
  • You perform finite element simulations for the prediction of the mechanical properties of filament wound composite tanks
  • You give advice with setting up experiments for the calibration of the models and the identification of the material constants.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • You hold a thesis-based doctorate.
  • You hold a doctoral degree in Engineering Sciences: direction:
    Material Science, Civil Engineering, (Applied) Mechanics, Computational Mechanics or Mechanical Engineering.
  • You have already conducted extensive research within the field of material modelling of the mechanical behaviour of materials.
  • You have extensive experience with development and implementation of material models, analytically or in finite element codes;
  • You have experience with modelling of materials and the specific aspects linked to the finite element modelling.
  • You have distinguished yourself as a promising researcher in your doctorate.
  • You may present a high level of relevant scientific publications in (inter) national peer‑reviewed academic journals that are widely disseminated.
  • You have organizational talent.
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU
  • We offer you a contract of definite duration for the period of 3.5 months.
  • Your contract will start on 15/03/2026 at the earliest.
