For the European Maintenance Support (EMS) department, responsible for executing specialized maintenance activities in different powerplants in Belgium and Europe, we are currently looking for an Engineer Pumps and Valves (M/F/X).

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES as Engineer Pumps and Valves
  • Technical Leadership: Identify and analyse incidents or non-conformities during outages, conduct root-cause analyses, and define and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Long-Term Maintenance Strategy: Develop a long-term strategy for the main pumps & valves and play a key role in the scoping, preparation and consolidation of outage maintenance projects.
  • Field Assessment: Perform fact finding and condition assessment missions on-site and in supplier workshops.
  • Improvement Projects: Initiate and implement improvement projects based on return-on-experience, technical-financial analyses (business case) and assist in negotiating contracts.
  • Knowledge Development, Sharing and Training: Build, develop and consolidate know-how on pumps & valves within EMS by sharing lessons learned internally, engaging in internal and external networks, supporting and coaching team members and determining appropriate training modules to maintain EMS’s competencies on pumps & valves.
YOUR PROFILE as Engineer Pumps and Valves
  • You hold a Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering or equivalent by experience
  • You have relevant experience in pumps or valves design/manufacturing/maintenance and a first working experience in an industrial environment.
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    , are able to log your knowledge and works in solid reports
    , and you want to further develop your knowledge in order to become subject matter expert and a reference in the domain of pumps & valves maintenance inside and outside ENGIE.
  • You like to work in a mixed team (both technicians as engineers) and take into account the opinions of your stakeholders (EMS colleagues, power plant staff, service provider personnel, insurers…) working towards common goals.
  • You have a professional knowledge of English and speak either Dutch or French
    .
  • You are mobile and flexible, you move regularly between different sites and prepared to spend 30% of your working time abroad.
  • You always take responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues!
