As our Business Development Manager, focussing on the DACH region, you'll be at the forefront of Powernaut's expansion, driving to our future growth.

The Job

Here's what your impactful role will entail:

  • Make the market yours: Focus exclusively on the DACH market for 2026
    , deepening our reach into the energy ecosystem.
  • Leverage your expertise: Use your background (Consulting, Implementation, or Academic) to build trust with utility customers and navigate complex technical discussions.
  • Position for growth: Independently represent Powernaut at key industry conferences to map stakeholders and generate leads.
  • Provide clarity: Execute a structured action plan with clear deliverables, reporting directly to our German Country Lead.
  • Get level and empowered: Work closely with our product, marketing, and customer success teams to master market strategy while maintaining the autonomy to drive your own meetings and pipeline.
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to customers, leveraging deep industry insights to position our software as an indispensable solution for energy flexibility.

Your day-to-day will be dynamic and impactful:

  • Smart Hunting: Identify and engage key stakeholders in the energy sector, by proactively prospecting high-potential clients within DACH region.
  • Solution Selling: Use your energy expertise to act as a trusted advisor, diagnosing complex client pain points. Ensuring smooth hand-offs to the implementation team post-signature.
  • Conference & Field Presence: You will be the face of Powernaut at major events and conduct 1-2 physical customer visits per month across the DACH region.
  • Pipeline Management: Build and manage a high-value pipeline in Hub Spot, guiding deals from qualification to closure with the support of the Country Lead and the entire Go-to-Market team.
Your Profile

We're looking for a driven, entrepreneurial spirit who is ready to make a tangible difference.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience or research in the energy space or similar expertise, to enable qualitative customer interactions.
  • A background in Consulting, Implementation, or research in the energy sector
    .
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and German are essential. Fluency in French or Dutch is a significant bonus.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to meet clients and collaborate with the team in Ghent. DACH region as home base is preferred, Belgium acceptable.
  • Mindset: You are independent enough to work solo at conferences but coachable and eager to learn under the guidance of our Country Lead.
