YOUTH FLOATING SUPPORT WORKERS in the community?
Youth Floating Support Workers support young people aged 16-25 in the community who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or need help maintaining their tenancy. Youth Floating Support Workers provide individualised support based on support planning, ongoing assessment/review and keeping safe where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all young people are cared for by appropriate staff and that workers meet the needs of the young people.
- Adhere to NISCC Standard of Conduct and MACS Policies and Procedures including Child Protection, Adult Safeguarding and Lone Worker to safeguard Young People and Staff.
- Provide Holistic Support (one-to-one and group) to all young people accessing the service.
- Identify Support Plans in partnership with Young People and Professionals/Service where appropriate; take the lead in creating safety plans and ensuring regular reviews.
- Provide awareness of Housing Rights of Young People and advocate on their behalf.
- Work effectively within a team and ensure information is communicated with Young People and external agencies.
- 1 year experience of working with young people in supported housing or community-based support or similar environment
- OR Degree in Social Work, Youth and Community Work or similar AND 6 months experience of working with young people in supported housing or community-based support
- A full, current driving license with access to a car, insured for business use is required to meet the requirements of the post in full.
- Belfast: 4 x Full Time, Permanent
- Lisburn: 1 x Full Time, Permanent
- Downpatrick: 1x Full Time, Permanent; 1x Part Time, Permanent (22.5 Hours)
Salary: £25,545 Pro rata
