Maintenance Technician - Painter​/Decorator

As Maintenance Technician Painter you will work alongside our Response and Planned Assets team by carrying our decoration and minor repairs to assist us to provide great homes for our families living in our properties.

• Support and maintain our properties by carrying out arrange of general decoration works internally and externally and minor repairs to our properties.
• Carry out void inspections/minor repairs/ clearance of vacant properties and redecoration of properties and ensure all work arising is promptly undertaken.
• Delivering office supplies, equipment and furniture and assist the Maintenance Technician team at formal openings and events. Working with our community team to promote community development events.
• Ensure tools, equipment, vehicle is in safe working order and inform Asset Officers of any defects.

• A minimum of 3 years recent experience in a similar trade role e.g. DIY / Painting & decorating.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and good practice in relation to handyperson/building maintenance duties.
• A understanding of the building/ maintenance service including knowledge of materials, trades and methods.
• Be flexible in terms of working hours i.e. be available for occasional evening and/or weekend work, if required.
• Must hold a full clean driving licence and be able to drive to meet the requirements of the post.
• Previous experience in carrying out a range of minor repair trades and good knowledge of paint coatings and wall coverings.
