Maintenance Operative

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Maintenance Operative to join our team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone practical, proactive, and confident in tackling a wide range of repair, maintenance, and general labour tasks. You'll be working across various properties and sites, supporting tradesmen and carrying out day-to-day jobs to keep things running smoothly.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.

Position: Maintenance Operative

Location: Belfast

Duration: Temporary to Permanent

Rate of Pay: £14.50 per hour

Shifts: Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm/ on call every 12 weeks ( with on call payments)

Benefits: Use of a company van with access to fuel card

Duties will include (but not be limited to):

• General repairs & maintenance (doors, fittings, fixtures, basic carpentry)
• Assisting tradesmen with plumbing & electrical work
• Basic decorating (painting, filling, sanding)
• Site prep, clean-up, and general labouring
• Minor plumbing tasks (e.g. replacing taps, resealing baths)
• Minor electrical assistance (e.g. replacing light fittings, switches)
• Keeping tools and materials organised
• Communicating with clients and reporting issues to supervisors

Essential Criteria:

• Full clean UK Driving license
• Practical skills and confidence using tools
• A proactive, can-do attitude
• Punctual, dependable and hardworking
• Able to work independently or as part of a team
• Experience in a similar role is a bonus, but not essential

Desirable Criteria:

• CSR Card
